šŸŒ™ A Q-Word Double… (Did I Just Jinx It?)

You know you’re not supposed to say it…
but somehow, this turned into a Q-word kind of double.

But honestly?
Four days off after this, so I can’t even complain too much.

This morning started off good.

No complaints.
No emergencies.
No wound changes (a miracle, truly).

Just a little anxiety from one resident—
but that’s expected with her.

Other than that?
Solid crew today.
Good energy all around.

And the rest of the day?

Honestly… uneventful.

Just the usual restless behaviors, nothing out of the ordinary.
The kind of shift where you almost don’t trust how smooth it’s going.

And then I went on my break.

Because tell me why…

the moment I stepped away, things got pretty hectic for the team.

Residents trying to get up from their wheelchairs,
alarms going off,
people yelling for help—

and on top of that, it’s dinner time…

so the aides are trying to get everyone ready at the same time.

It was chaos for them.

And I’m just sitting there like…
why does this always happen the second I leave?? 😭

It’s now 9PM…
and somehow—

everyone is in bed.

Like???

That alone deserves a moment of silence because when does that ever happen 😭

We did have a call-out, so management was scrambling for a bit—
but someone came in and stayed until 8PM, which helped so much.

Grateful doesn’t even cover it.

(Also yes… I bought the crew Chipotle 🌯 because we deserved that win.)

Closing out the night feeling…
dare I say it…

chillin.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves—

Because I have another double tomorrow 😭

And I just know…
writing this might be me tempting fate.

So if tomorrow goes left—
we all know why 🫠

Fingers crossed I didn’t jinx it…
pleaseeeee.
