There are moments in this job that remind you exactly why the right people matter.
This weekend, one of our newer aides β who just graduated β showed what real care looks like.
We had a new resident who was struggling with confusion and anxiety (which is completely expected). Instead of rushing through the moment or brushing it off, he slowed down. He stayed with her, reassured her, and made sure she felt safe.
At one point, he even did her nails just to give her something to focus on β something small that made a big difference.
And what stood out the most to meβ¦
At the end of his shift, when he was already on his way out, he turned back around just to reassure her that heβd be back in a couple of days to take care of her again.
That kind of kindness, patience, and intention β you canβt teach that.
For someone who is brand new to this field, he is already setting the standard. The kind of caregiver youβd trust with your own family.
Safe to sayβ¦ heβs already killing it.
