Hiii! 🤍
I just worked a back-to-back double…
and it was actually—
quiet.
Yes. I said it. Out loud. 😂
And now?
It’s officially my Friday 🙌
I’m off for the next 4 days and I plan to enjoy every second of it
But let’s talk about the shift —-
Everything was on schedule
everyone worked together
and the residents were actually…
chill
like finally 😭
Honestly, this was probably one of the fastest doubles I’ve worked in a while
it really felt like the planets aligned or something 🌎✨
One of the highlights—
I got to introduce an old coworker to the unit!
We used to work together in pediatrics,
and now she’s joining us per diem
which is actually really exciting
We also have a new overnight LNA
and fun fact—she has a candle-making business 🕯️
definitely need to ask her more about that next time
And we had a new dietary staff added into the rotation
she seems really cool so far
but definitely a lot of teaching involved—
they’re all so young 😅
Other than that…
what even happened? 😂
This shift was so uneventful
It was super humid this weekend though
but the residents still got to enjoy the morning outside
sitting on the patio playing Scrabble
(which I love, by the way)
I wanted to join so bad
but of course—
there were still residents on the unit who didn’t go out
and someone always has to stay behind
on watch 👀 #Nurselife 😅
But honestly?
I’ll take an uneventful, smooth, teamwork-filled double
any day.
Now it’s time to log off and enjoy these days off
because I definitely earned them
Scrubs and Side Eyes ✌🏽
