The Full Moon Double Is Back 🌕

The full moon is back…

and of course, I’m working a double. 😂

Oof.

So far, the day has actually been pretty good—but I’m definitely noticing a lot more behaviors happening today.

Agitation seems to be number one.

The full moon phase is definitely in full effect, let me tell you. 🌕👀

But what can we really do?

Take it one thing at a time.

That’s pretty much the motto around here.

There are also a bunch of activities happening today, which I’m hoping will help keep everyone occupied and in good spirits.

We have:

🎶 Music therapy
🚌 A field trip
🍦 An ice cream social

Honestly, that sounds like a pretty good day to me.

Maybe the activities will help keep some of that restless energy occupied.

Now…

we also have our resident “wicked witch” on the unit. 😂

And let me tell you…

the full moon is apparently flowing through her veins today.

She is in a mood.

A know-it-all mood.

A “let me tell everyone how things should be done” mood.

And I’m just over here like…

Ma’am.

Please.

It’s a full moon.

We’re all just trying to make it through the day. 😂

But honestly, despite all the behaviors and the general energy floating around the unit, there haven’t been any real emergencies.

And you know what?

I’ll take it.

Give me behaviors over an unwitnessed fall any day.

Give me pacing over two grannies getting into a fist fight.

Yes.

I said what I said. 😂

Behaviors can be exhausting, but at least we know where everyone is and what we’re dealing with.

First shift of the double?

DONE. ✔️

Now onto the second.

And let’s see how this goes…

Fingers crossed 🤞🏽

Maybe the full moon will decide to calm down.

Maybe the ice cream will save us.

Maybe music therapy will work its magic.

Or maybe healthcare will simply remind me that I should never get too comfortable. 😂

Either way…

one thing at a time.

🌕 Here we go.
